About the Cocoa Bark Paper

Personalise your gift with a message printed on handmade cocoa bark paper that we will include free with all orders. Cocoa bark paper supports cocoa farmers and their families by supplementing their incomes with the bark that they strip away from cocoa tree branches during the necessary pruning process. Four things to remember when choosing your design or photo:

1. Choose a photo or design in standard portrait or landscape size

  • Photos or designs outside of standard sizes may be resized and cropped
  • Photos straight from your phone camera are generally OK.

2. Choose photos or designs with bright colours

  • Some saturation may be lost when printing on wood

3. Choose photos or designs with fewer elements

  • The resolution and clarity of wood printing is not the same as standard paper printing
  • Photos straight from your phone camera are generally OK.
  • Limit the number of elements (e.g., number of persons) and
  • Keep the elements big in size

4. Finally, if the photo or design you have sent us is not suitable for wood printing, we may ask you for another image.
